a lot of unrecognized 404 php error

  • Hi,

    I often see a lot of 404 php errors that I don’t think they are related to my site. Some of them are the following,

    /wp-content/plugins/cardoza-facebook-like-box/cardoza_facebook_like_box.php
    /wp-content/plugins/cherry-plugin/admin/import-export/D7nDn.php
    /wp-content/plugins/google-maps-by-daniel-martyn/inuse.php

    What does this mean? Should I do something or just ignore them?

    I don’t see any security issues in my Google search console. My site looks fine in a browser now, however my site for my main keyword doesn’t appear in Google search engine result any more. It used to be within second or third page.

    These are most likely caused by robots sniffing your site for vulnerabilities. It is common on any WordPress site unfortunately. I would just ignore them.

    I can’t comment on your search ranking – that seems to me to be a separate issue.
