• Thank you for the great LMS product.

Recently I have switched to PHP 8.2.0, I have found a lot of deprecated warnings, after turning wp_debug on.

I know it is the latest PHP version, it is completely normal to have issues with it. I am just letting you know. I am sure your great development team can solve it really soon.

    Thanks.

  • Dear @arafatjamil01

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Currently, Tutor LMS is compatible with PHP versions 7.4, 8.0, and 8.1. However, a significant number of our users are still utilizing PHP 7.4, and updating the plugin solely for PHP 8.2 could result in compatibility issues with older PHP versions.

It is worth noting that as WordPress continues to evolve, we constantly assess the compatibility of our plugin with different PHP versions. Once WordPress discontinues support for PHP 7.4, we will prioritize updating Tutor LMS to be compatible with PHP 8.0.

We understand that PHP 8.2 is the latest version available, but it may take some time for the majority of themes and plugins to fully support this version. We want to ensure a smooth transition for our users and minimize any potential conflicts that may arise from using PHP 8.2 prematurely.

In the meantime, we recommend using PHP 8.0 if it is compatible with your server environment. This will provide a balance between utilizing a more recent PHP version while maintaining compatibility with the broader WordPress ecosystem.

    Thank you.
