A line-space issue (can't create a space between two particular lines)

    At one post at by blog (https://lerner.net/why-does-hot-water-freeze-faster-than-cold-water/) notice there is no line space between the lines

    “Why does hot water freeze faster than cold water?”

    and

    There is a ￡1000 pound prize for the best answer:

    I’ve tried editing it and adding a line break manually. The other lines are formatted ok, but I can’t see why those two lines won’t take space between them.

    Is this a common sort of issue? I used to sometimes see stuff like this with the old fckeditor as well.

  • The syntax/html appears now because of something that you say you did as:

    <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">	</span>“Why does hot water freeze faster than cold water?”

    It should appear as: 

    <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">“Why does hot water freeze faster than cold water?”</span>

    I actually posted that via email from Apple Mail.

    When I tried editing it I just used the visual editor. It looks fine in the visual editor, but not in the post.

    If I look at the HTML view in the editor it looks like this:

    <div>"Why does hot water freeze faster than cold water?"
<div></div>
<div>There is a?<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #333333; line-height: 14px;">￡1000</span>?pound prize for the best answer:
<div></div>

    Should the span pair before the first div matter?

    It turned out that a dig was need after “for the best answer:”.

    I don’t know why it didn’t automatically end up there.

    Anyway, it’s ok now.
