• Everyone does (or should) know that the vast majority of compromised WP sites are a direct result of Ops failing to update plugins and themes.

The developer team for Easy Updates Manager have entirely removed that excuse by providing exactly what it says — easy automated updates.

The plugin allows ops who want or need fine grained control to permit or deny automatic updates so it’s not an all-or-nothing proposition.

I’ve lived with it for a few months now, motivated by having a significant time period during which I would not be able to properly tend the web sties. It has ensured I received a bundle of updates, some of which were quite serious vulnerability patches that I would have left exposed without its assistance.

I think it will be a standard part of any WP install in which I have my fingers.

Thanks to the team — your plugin doesn’t just help WordPress uses, but the entire internet community by minimizing malicious exploits that end up affecting everyone. That’s something to feel good about.
