Very useful plugin and responsive developer

  • Interestingly this block doesn’t display anything if placed inside another block (I tried Kadence rows and sections, a Gutenberg column and a Stackable column). Could be very useful if this bug is fixed. No settings to hide/show display elements but easy to do with CSS.

    EDIT: the issue with nested blocks was fixed, and other options like hiding file sizes and hiding icons were added. This is now a solid choice for creating a simple download list.

    thank you for this very first review for my plugin ??

    I have just added the support for nested blocks. Unfortunately I can reproduce the problem with Kadence, I will have a closer look at that and provide an update after this.

    Get back to you on this.

    About the styling: here I have intentionally not offered any options so far because there are so many themes out there that one could not even consider all special cases. I’m waiting for feedback on this before I add anything that only one user would need. You can tell me your concrete styling wishes, then I could check them.

    Not so much styles but display options I suppose… I’m a developer so just made changes in my child theme, but I would guess it would be useful to others to have settings to turn on or off the display of the icon or the file size display. Maybe add a custom icon? Also, I need to edit the file title, and see that I’ll need to do that in the Media Library. Otherwise this is really a very useful plugin…

    I have just uploaded an update in which 2 points you mentioned are fixed:

    • you can now use the block inside other blocks.
    • in Kadence the block can now also be used
