• This plugin is a Godsend. And the plugin developers are a gift from God. I have been looking for something like this for so long – a simple way to utilize HTML5 media player speed controls in WordPress. And here it is, at long last. All I had to do was install the plugin in an already completed website with over a hundred audio/video files (all self hosted) and – after activating the plugin – the tiny speed controls showed up (as pictured in the screenshot on the plugin page). No further setup was necessary. No further hassle. No customizations. Nothing. Just pure simplicity.

It works on desktop and mobiles, too.

I am so happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for using your time to make this: something so helpful and so useful and often overlooked. And thank you for sharing this with the WordPress community. I honestly thought I’d have to learn programming to get this kind of plugin done, because every thing I found was “too much”. This plugin, however, was just the thing. I was praying for it – and here it is, thanks to your efforts.

Please let us know how we can donate in support of the development of this plugin and its developers.

    With gratitude,

Thank you so much. I’m very new to the plugin directory, but not WordPress Plugins. If you have suggestions, feel free to use the forums and let me know other things it can do.

Currently having “discussions” with the Gutenberg team because their Audio + Video does not by default use the mediaElement.js plugin. I’d like this to support that also as it’s likely to be “the future of WordPress editing”.

Again thank you for your kind words and have an amazing day!
