• Hi. i received an email saying that my site is experiencing tech issues.
the error details are bottom of this mssg.

i first noticed that i couldn’t use SiteOrigin Pagebuilder any more, sometime after I either installed ShortPixel Image Optimizer plugin OR maybe updated Worpress (though I’m not sure that was it).

i’ve shut off all plugins except pagebuilder, but things are still messed up.

i also am now seeing that on my Options page my header/logo is gone, and the Content and Footer links do not work.

Any/all help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.
    M

  • Make sure WordPress core files and theme is updated. Test to see if you still get the error by switching the theme.

thanks for your response! i updated wp. i also switched the theme to a 2019 theme—i didn’t receive an email saying that there were issues. but then i switched back to the original theme and didn’t get an email either, so go figure.

Good job. I should have added to test for the error after each of those steps just to pinpoint the problem area. Just keep it in mind for the next time if any.

Thanks. I did test after each step. unfortunately the problem is still happening (I realize I wasn’t clear about that in my last mssg).

Ah ok..so does the error go away after switching the theme? If it does then you may malware on the theme itself. Run a malware test at sucuri sitecheck. Run a test on each theme. After the first test be sure to retest using the link in the sentence at the bottom of the page. The sentence with the link reads “This site was just scanned. Force a Re-scan to clear the cache.”

The problem is still there when I change themes.
    No malware found.

Do you still receive the error with the theme changed, all plugins deactivated, and WordPress core files updated?

(I am assuming that all core files would be updated if I updated WordPress as prompted on my dashboard, correct? If yes, then they are up to date)

And no, I am not receiving the automated message from www.remarpro.com when I do all of what you say.

But nothing has changed—when I switch back to my child theme, all the problems still exist.

And now I’ve received another email:
