a few style fixes?
-
Hullo all,
I’m trying to put the finishing touches on my new site in the Parker/TwentyFourteen theme, but there a few style issues I can’t seem to figure out:
1) When someone posts a comment, their text is dark grey, which hardly shows up against the black background. How can I change the color of these posted comments?
2) Similarly, the colors of the navigation links (title of the previous post, title of the next post) are dark grey – how can I make them white? *Note that I’ve somehow managed to change the hover color to blue, which is great, but can’t seem to figure out how to change the default or “before”-action color.
Here’s a link to the post on Emperor Penguins, which has 2 comments (that are hard to read because of the color) and links to previous and next posts, so you can see what I mean all in one place: https://www.seacreaturefacts.com/2013/12/26/may-15-2013-emperor-penguins/
3) I’m liking the cloud of tags on the left sidebar, but it’s bothering me that the font is bolded and also that some of the words get wrapped around to the next line because they’re so big. I’m also not a huge fan of how LONG the cloud is- I know I’ve got a lot of tags, but is there some way to show only a few of them, or to reduce the size of the cloud in some other way?
4) Finally, I thought I could get around this problem by choosing large images for my posts, but it seems that when I open the site in a full-screen or wide-screen browser, there’s a white background to either side of the featured/header images on my posts. How can I change the background of these pictures to black so that they blend in with the rest of the site? Note, I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT the featured post thumbnails on the home page, but rather the “featured image” on top of each individual post.
I know I probably should have made this into four different posts… sorry about that.
Thank you!!
