A few remarks about Version 1.3.0
-
Thanks for updating your plugin to v 1.3.0. I have some minor remarks about the changes made by the new design.
- Who decided to change the pleasant blue colors of the bars in the old version to red? Are you aware, that red is an “alert color” that stands for “danger” in industry? I’m shocked, every time I see the red bar graph.
- For me, the old style, simply showing the blue bar graph without anything else was perfect. If somebody need more details, he can select the provided hyperlink to see the details page. So the new layout, also showing the most viewed pages in the last 14 days is irritating (my dashboard shows a lot of other data, and I like to have a minimized view of Koko analytics as it was in the old design) and also senseless in my case (because: a) the two first entries belongs to the start page of the blog and an old entry, so the most viewed articles won’t change a lot – and b) I don’t like to see this information, because I got that data in my article list from another plugin). Overall the new design with additional “most viewed articles” seems to me more like a “navel show” for some bloggers. For me I like to get an overview of the daily visitors in the bar graph, like it was in the old design – if I need the details, I can select the hyperlink provided in the dashboard). Keep the main view of your plugin for the WP dashboard compact and simple (as it was before).
Sorry, that I don’t be enthusiastic about the new design.
Propopsal: If you feel the design is mandatory, please let people select between red or blue bars in the settings, and whether they like to see a pure bar graph or enriched with the the most viewed articles together in the dashbord.
