    Hello,

    1) I’ve been wondering whether a site can slow down while images are being converted (as there are our other sites which are located on the same server that have been affected too, so for now it’s not clear where the origin of the corrupted performance is). There are many images on this site, so the site slowed down noticeably and it seems that I still have to wait for a while. Not sure where to look for the reason yet. Hopefully it is the case, then I just need to wait.

    * I have enabled the convertation to WebP format as well as AVIF while Pro version access token is activated. Do all of them get converted at the remote server or do they only convert to AVIF at the remote server and WebP at our server as in the free version?

    2) We are using a CDN which isn’t Cloudflare (it looks like the plugin is only optimized to work with Cloudflare), how may it affect the speed if it may at all?

    Best regards

I got one more thing to ask. What happens when I deactivate the plugin? Will there be some settings left or will it revert back to how it was before it was activated?

    Hi @yrzhn,

    Thank you for your message.

    1) All images are converted using a remote server – both to WebP and AVIF.

    2) Here you will find complete information about Cloudflare. As for the impact on performance, it is a very individual matter and requires testing on a specific website.

    3) After dectivating the plugin, all original images are loaded. Converted images are deleted only when uninstalling the plugin – just like the settings.

    Best,
    Mateusz
