A day 1 product categories question from a WP beginner!
-
Hi, this is Day 1 of using Woocommerce for me and I have a VERY basic question regarding product categories. As I have a lot of products I obviously want to organise them more meaningfully into categories and have created a couple of product categories. So far so good! As I am feeling my way around I have also created a handful of products and assigned them to one or the other of the categories I have created. What I was expecting to see then when I click on the “Shop” page is the two categories I have created and then when one selects (clicks on) a category I would expect to see the products I have assigned to that category. What I am seeing on my “Shop” page, however, is simply all of the products, not categorised in any way. When I click on a product it does say the category to which it has been assigned just under the cart icon so I know I have assigned them correctly. Have read the Woocommerce support information on categories, which basically takes you through how to create but I cannot find the information I need to show me how to arrange my products at the frontend into an organised product archive.
Any help most gratefully received.
SallyPS. Cannot post a link to my “Shop” page as it currently stands as I am building the site in Local
