Is there a way to generate a “public profile” page (restricted to Level 1 access) for each user, where only a specific set of their fields is visible, so users can learn more about and contact one another. Ideally editable by each user so they can decide what they want to make visible to other users? And really ideally able to contain additional text, like a short bio a user might wish to share?

  • I’d suggest looking at the AMR Users plugin, which works well with s2member.

Thanks KTS915. I am already using AMR Users and it’s building fabulous tables, like my members roster. But don’t see how it can create individual user profile pages. Do you know this is possible with AMR Users or one of their add-ons? (I’ll go search their support also – can’t post a question with them until I buy something, it appears). Thanks.

    I’d certainly ask.

There’s also Users Ultra, which another user of s2Member mentioned a few days ago.

Since our site incorporates a private Facebook group as a forum, we eventually decided to specify members’ FB profile pages as their “Public profile”. Our member directory created by AAMR Users allows a username to link to the “website” field in a WordPress user’s profile. It took a bit of custom programming to get that website field added to s2member’s profile page created with [s2Member-Profile /] but we did it, and it seems a workable solution for our site.

WISH LIST!!! Still would like to see s2Member develop a similar shortcode for a basic Member Profile that could be displayed an an informational page to other members. Seems pretty obvious.
