A Couple Adjustments

  • Hi! This plugin is EXACTLY what I was needing for our healthcare facility. However, I was hoping to make a couple adjustments. Are you able to point me to the correct spots in the code?

    Under the “Service” (where you select the service), the default text is “-” I know I can choose one of the services to be the default, but I’d actually just like it to say “Please select one of our services” and then they can choose. Basically, replacing the “-” with some custom text.

    We only have one location and no specific “staff” people that handle different services (it’s a counseling service, so visitors don’t get to “choose” who they want to book with). Can I hide the “Worker” field in the “overview” area? Again, they really can’t/shouldn’t be able to see who is handling the session? I’d love to do this with the location as well, but isn’t as necessary to hide the location.

    you can replace those ‘-‘ only by altering the template file so far. I will see how to enable that to be customizable.

    If you want to hide worker and location make sure that there is only one option of each and that the name starts with underscore like for example _dummy_location etc.

    Awesome! And where would I edit that template? I understand updating the plugin going forward that change would be undone, but I really need to replace that “-” with something else immediately (just for the release of the tool on the client’s site). Can you tell me the file and where in the code I could change that?

    Oh! And I had two feature requests as well:

    1. an easy way to block out certain days for either holidays or just unavailability. Right now, I know I can make a connection to do this, but it’d be nice to have a place to do it that would block all connections for that specific date range or times.

    2. a “Calendar” view for the appointments area on the backend. It’s nice having the filter to easily show or hide certain appointments, but it’d be amazing to have a simple calendar (kinda like the one in the Reports area) that shows current bookings by service across the month or week.
