A better editor

  • I use WP to create web sites (using Pages instead of Posts) as well as blogs. I also recommend WP to friends and clients. However, if my friend/client has no working knowledge of HTML, I can no longer recommend WP as a web site creator for one simple reason: the poor text editor and its lack of capabilities – the worst of which is inability to put in line feeds without having to modify templates or style sheets as mentioned in some posts in the forum.

    I would love to see a better editor for 2.7+. The one that comes in WP is fine for just blogs but is lacking when used for web page design. I know, it wasn’t designed for that, but it works better as a web site creator (if you know HTML) than many canned web site packages out there – which says something about the quality of WP.

    I’ve tried almost every plug in editor I could find, but none fit the bill.
