_register_controls is deprecated since version 3.1.0

  • Elementor has deprecated _register_controls so the ACF Post Object Elementor List Widget plugin is experiencing a site-breaking error.

    Disabling the plugin lets the site work on an Elementor page.

    Adding an update that I was able to use a workaround posted in other plugin’s support forums.

    – Go to Elementor – Tools – Regenerate CSS & Data (press button to regenerate) – MAKE SURE YOU click “Save Changes”

    Does anyone have any ideas on this? The workaround doesn’t really work consistently and, regardless, is temporary causing the problem to return. That results in a site outage which prevents updating Elementor.
