    Hi Hedley,

    I tested this out and yes you’re right, however this is done on purpose. The reason for this is because excerpts are usually used in specific places where a lot of formatting isn’t desired, especially if you need it to be a specific length.

    Since you’re cutting the text at a specific point which we can’t predict, we need to remove shortcode and potentially balance/strip some tags out depending where you’re cutting the text, given you could cut it in between the content of a p tag or a shortcode, which would look quite unsightly.

    The best solution is as you said, to add specific html wrapping the placeholder so it looks the way you need it to.

    @netweblogic I cant use the shortcode #_EVENTEXCERPT with html tags inside anymore? I was using this with links tags and bold.

    Ok, I′ve solved my problem using #_EVENTNOTES instead.
