  • We are working on a version to allow this, but it is not ready yet.
Keep your eyes opened for a future update where this is included.

    Warm regards,
    Don

There is now an option (in version 3.6.2) for the ‘Use Add to Cart URL’ which replaces the standard product page link with the Add to Cart URL link. This makes it so that if a customer adds the item to their Amazon cart, it will extends the cookie to the length of the shopping lifespan (90 days).

If you are looking for this, please be sure to select the global option in the Plugin Settings/Options (under the Advanced Tab).

    Warm regards,
    Don

Hey Don I did as you said under the Advanced Tab, but there is no change I still get redirected to the normal amazon product page and not the cart page.

Do you possibly have a caching plugin in place?
If so, clear it and try again.

If not, let me know how you are adding your products and I will try to see if I can replicate the issue and find a fix.

    Warmest regards,
    Don

Yep I use Zencache I cleared it and still nothing. I enter my short codes like this [AMAZONPRODUCTS asin=”B00PU0Y8T4,B00ZR9MNR2″] with a more ASINs than this.
    Thanks.

Sorry – it looks like there is a little bug in that feature – it only is working for the main product method and not on the shortcodes.

I will put in a bug fix ticket and see if we can’t get it fixed ASAP.

Sorry for the problem! I will let you know when we have it fixed.

    Warmest regards,
    Don

We have a bug fix out today (version 3.6.3).
Please update when you have a moment and let me know if this is fixed for you.

I appreciate the effort from you Don and your team but the situation is still the same after the update. I cleared the plugin’s cache and also my WordPress cache but still nothing. I only get redirected to the product page not the cart page using this format:

    [AMAZONPRODUCTS asin=”B00PU0Y8T4,B00ZR9MNR2″]

Make sure you set the option to use the cart URL (either in the plugin options on the Advanced tab, or in the shortcode as a parameter).

For the shortcode, you would add use_cartURL="1" like:
    [AMAZONPRODUCTS asin="B00PU0Y8T4,B00ZR9MNR2" use_cartURL="1"]

Let me know if you still have issues.
    Warmest regards,
    Don

I want to also point out that we do need to add some documentation about all of this – so I apologize if it is confusing. It was a last minute addition to the plugin and we did not have time to get everything documented correctly.

Success! Don just like you said, adding that piece of code did the trick. I will be up dating all my short-codes to this format. Thanks a lot again Don and you team.

    Great!
Glad it is working for you.

    Don
