Before updating, I made a backup of the entire site, then I restored the entire site.

Feel free to reach out to Astra theme’s support channel (linked here), as they would be in a better position to assist you with this.

I went ahead with taking a look at the changelog page of it, without being able to find anything specific with relation to WooCommerce 8.5.1, I’m afraid.

Meanwhile, linked here is a guide for downgrading WooCommerce, in case a backup is not available to roll back to, like in the case of @julianosb.

Pepe, thank you for writing.

I deactivated ALL plugins except Woocommerce and switched themes to Twenty Twenty-four, and the exact same problems persisted. This would seem to point to the woocommerce update as the culprit. Moreover all the problems exist on the Shop page, which is constructed by Woocommerce.

While I’m not able to replicate the issue on my test site, I suggest downgrading your WooCommerce version to the previous version (direct link attached here) and checking if the issue persists.

Thank you, @ckadenge. I’ll have to try downgrading. BUT, in spite of ALL my plugins being designated Disable auto-updates, all but one or two of them auto-update. Woocommerce auto-updates. As soon as I downgrade, this will be detected and Woo will auto-update. Also, if I’m reading correctly there are many folks who are experiencing similar problems with the latest Woo update. This is odd. To clarify, did you already have a chance to reach to the site’s hosting provider for any insights on the auto-updates, or otherwise?

To get an idea of how your site is configured, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status, as exemplified here? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

BTW, when Woocommerce autoupdated, it changed some settings on its own: For instance, it changed two In stock items to Out of stock. It may have made other changes as well.

I was finally able to downgrade Woocommerce to vers. 8.4.0, and now the Shop page appears to function properly, AND it loads much more quickly. Thanks, Pepe.

I’m glad to hear that downgrading to version 8.4.0 has resolved the issues you were facing with your Shop page and improved its loading speed.

It sounds like your current theme or one of your plugins may not be playing nicely with the latest version of WooCommerce. How about running a conflict test? Also, contacting your hosting provider and theme developer could give you extra insight.
