• I upgraded from 1.5 to 2.0.2 yesterday. Now when I publish posts, the posts appear, but I get the following error:

WordPress database error: [Lost connection to MySQL server during query]
    INSERT INTO wp_postmeta (post_id,meta_key,meta_value) VALUES (‘282′,’_pingme’,’1′)

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at ../html/wp-includes/wp-db.php:102) in ../html/wp-admin/post.php on line 127

    Anyone have any ideas?

    3 things:

    1. Ensure that you have run /wp-admin/upgrade.php.

    2. Check that the “WordPress address (URI)” and “Blog address (URI)” is correct in Options > General (no trailing slash).

    3. Try removing rpc.pingomatic.com/ from the “Update Services” list in Options > Writing.

The way pingomatic has been this week, number 3 is where I’d start.
