• How can I add a table to a post? I’ve got some tabular data that I need to display. I entered the table in HTML view, click update, and everything is ok…but when I save the page it strips out everything but the first row. I end up with the opening and closing table tags, one row (including two td’s), but that’s it. If I try to re-enter additional rows (I even tried simply copying the existing row to make only 2 rows), everything but the first row gets stripped out.

    How can I fix this?

    I’m using WP 2.0.1.

  • If you don’t use the RTE it should work fine.

That’s unfortunate. I’m using the g2image plugin, which requires the RTE. Oh, well…I guess when I need to add a table I can go to my user profile, turn off the RTE, insert the table, save, then turn the RTE back on. Although, then I can’t make any changes to that post with the RTE turned on, or it’ll delete my table.

If anyone knows of a way to hack the RTE so that it doesn’t strip out table tags, it would be much appreciated.
