6.0.24 Update Failed: Failed to initialize…

  • Hi,
    When trying to update my Wordfence Security plugin to version 6.0.24 I get the following error:
    “Update Failed: Failed to initialize a SFTP subsystem session with the SSH2 Server 127.0.0.1:22”
    Any idea on what can be the cause? I’ve had no problems updating other plugins.

    The cause for this update failure was due to the file permissions for wp_rsa.pub and wp_rsa being too high (640). I lowered them temporarily to 644 and the update progressed without a hitch.
