6.1.0 Killed my checkout page

@hallowelt Literally ran into this same problem, and have been trying to solve for it since last night.

For more details, this is what I’m getting, and it’s specifically associated with WooCommerce Blocks checkout page block.

@assassinateur and I have seen similar errors with users who run caching plugins, like WP Rocket, or optimization plugins like WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache 3.1.12.

We know that they sometimes do not play very well with WordPress scripts in the frontend. Can you try to disable it and see if the issue is fixed?

@stellathirteen and @hallowelt: I recommend y’all check to see if your sites are running any kind of caching or optimization plugins, too. If they are, disable them and see if the issue persists.

I’ll try deleting the plugin entirely, and see if that helps.

I see that an issue has been opened with the developers regarding this (if it was opened by someone from this thread, thank you!):
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gutenberg-products-block/issues/4958

The devs have already replied there saying that they are currently working on a fix:

we’re aware of the error and working on identifying a fix.
Currently, you can downgrade to 5.9.1 or disable Elementor for the error to go.

They mention Elementor, and I see in the two status report/plugin lists provided here so far, they both include Elementor as well, so it appears to be an incompatibility between Elementor and the Checkout block.

Moving forward, as they mention, downgrading and waiting for a fix in the next version would be the best option (or disabling Elementor).

@kellymetal Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately neither downgrading WooCommerce Blocks, nor disabling Elementor are an option. For the time being, I’ve implemented the short_code woocommerce checkout page, and modified that to fit my needs. The shopping cart WooCommerce Blocks still works, so this will have to do until a solution is reached.
