WP-shortstat broken in WP 2.0.1 (?)

I have used WP-shortstats with WP 2.0 and it worked like a dream. Since upgrading to 2.0.1 it just stopped working.

I had a look around and it reads from the database correctly. However, something, somewhere stopped writing into the database (wp_ss_stats and wp_ss_search) If I go into the database and add some records manually the script will read it and display on summary screen, nicely.

I even tried deactivating plugin, removing it from the /plugins/ folder and removing the database as well. Did another FTP upload, activated plug in, it created the db nicely but still the same story, nothing writes into the db. If I enter the data manually it reads OK.

Anyone with a clue ?
