504 Gateway timeout @ plugin update

    Hi Dear Team,
    i have the Problem that the Wordfence Plugin causes on PHP8.1/NGINX a 504 Gateway timeout Error when the Plugin update is performed.

    When disabling Wordfence, the update works well with the code “successful”

    Hi @declassdwarf44, thanks for getting in touch.

    Currently, if you have recently upgraded to PHP8, we have noticed an increase in sensitivity with false-positives and some plugins not working well with Wordfence as a result. As PHP7.4 will still be fully security supported until November 2022 it is safe to roll back for now if you’re experiencing too many issues that didn’t occur before. Also make sure all of your plugin versions are fully up-to-date.

    Aside from the PHP version, you could try running Wordfence independently for a period of time with a default theme and then reenabling your other plugins/theme one-by-one and see when the issues return.
