    Hi, I’m having issues with a WooCommerce installation. I’ve tried every suggestion I could find on the web for this. I

    So far, with WooCommerce activated I get a 504 error on 2 specific actions/pages. All other pages load, save and refresh normally.
    1. Saving products (Changes do get saved but you have to navigate to the page again to continue editing)
    2. Trying to disable plugins (plugins do not get disabled, page loads for a long time then goes to the 504 error page)

    I was able to login with FTP and disable plugins and I have been able to narrow it down to WooCommerce as the problem. I removed it and reinstalled it but the issue persisted. In addition I have also tried:
    1. Different browsers
    2. Different devices
    3. WP-Sweep (with and with out Woo installed)
    4. Clearing the website cache
    5. I don’t have a VPN running
    6. I don’t have a website security plugin installed or running
    7. I switched to the Storefront theme and disabled all plugins but Woo and still had the issue.
    8. I contacted my host (Siteground) and they said things looked fine on their end.
    9. I made a backup and installed it in Local (by Flywheel) and while I didn’t get any 504 errors, the page just loads forever and never refreshes.
    10. I put in the support ticket with Woo about 24hr ago and haven’t heard back. Hoping to hear tomorrow, but…

    I’m totally at a loss for what to do besides deleting it and starting over, but I’m not sure where I went wrong. The only difference I know is that this site is on a subdomain, instead of a root domain, but that shouldn’t make a difference as far as I know. Any help would be appreciated.

    Can you share a copy of your status report found under **WooCommerce > Status** as well as the server error logs that highlight the 504 errors?

    Hey there, i got the same issue with my WooCommerce shop and tried to find the reason for that.
    My hosting provider said, some other customers also have this problem.
    The only way to fix it for me, was to cleanup the database tables of WooCommerce by hand, which is not really a solution for the live system (My provider tested it in a copy of the system)

    Exact same issue here, tried all the same steps. Shop has always worked fine, but after the latest 4.9.1 update i get a 504 as soon as i save a product or want to enable/disable any random plugin. It only occurs after the WooCommerce plugin was activated.

    I re-installed WordPress using the current database, tried using the default storefront theme and not using any other plugins.

    My webhost (TransIP) said the same thing, nothing wrong on their side..
    I’m going to try installing WooCommerce 4.8 and see if this helps.

    Interestingly, when I created a brand new installation on a local WP site I did not have this issue. I need to double check but I’m pretty sure they are the same version.

    Additionally I got this back from WooCommerce support that someone has started a thread on the same issue here:

    @annabealizabeth you seem to have helped me here! I can confirm that the snippet provided on the github page worked for me:

    Ok cool! I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but I’ll give it a shot on me lunch break. ??

    I have had essentially the same problem. I’m a bit confused – are we meant to be waiting for an update to be released, moving the discussion to github, or implementing one of several fixes that have already been posted by various people? (In my case we can wait, as the site is functioning more or less normally, although I can’t update stock levels or activate other plugins, etc.)

    Ok update. So I never got a chance to login and add this code today, but I get home, login and Woo has an update. I ran it and the functionality seems to be restored. I can disable plugins and update products.

    However I did see some people (I think on the gitHub thread above) say that the update did not fix it for them. So… I don’t know.

    For me the WooCommerce Update also fixed the problems

    Glad to hear that the update fixed.

    In cases where the update does not fix this, I’d recommend posting directly on the GitHub issue: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-admin/issues/6168
