After the most recent update, an API call from your plugin is using a lot of my server’s resources causing my website to return a 504 error.

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

    Thank you,

    Ryan

jamesryancooper Please share the mentioned details so we can check further.
Is the error observed on frontend or backend?
is it on a specific page?
Are you able to identify which API call is being made?

    The issue was sitewide.

My hosting company pulled some reports from their New Relic monitoring tool and stated that it was an external API call to api.searchiq.co and suggested that you may have been having server issues.

I disabled the SearchIQ plugin and the issue resolved. I have not yet tried to re-enable it.

    Best Regards,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
If you have the reports from the hosting company, can you please share with us.

We have this same problem. Any new post, or trying to save an edit to an existing post, resulted in a long delay followed by a 502 error. After disabling the plugin, my new posts and edit posts are back to 1s times
