I’ve had the below error occur whilst trying to activate the WooCommerce plugin on a couple of my WP websites and I’m getting a: ‘503 Service Unavailable’

According to my host Ventraip the plugin’s php script wants to use more that 700M, thus the 503 problem.

I’ve tried using a WooTheme and a headway theme, but to no avail.

I doubt that the WooCommerce php script should be using 700M memory. What’s going wrong?

  • I experienced this same problem yesterday on my Woocommerce site hosted with them (ie VentraIP).

It finally got fixed this morning – something to do with the way php.ini was reloading.

If this hasn’t been resolved on your site yet, go back to the VentraIP support team and tell them about how it has been fixed in my case.

    Hope this helps.

Marking this as resolved as it seems to be a host issue.
