503 errors

I like your statistics and have started to use it on several sites I work on.
Yesterday I published a new website, and as usual after publishing av fixing several things I always takes a “master” backup. To do this I use Akeebaa backup.
However during backup I got a 503 error all the time. I finally game up after adjusting some settings. Then the 503 errors started appearing when editing pages and posts. Many times I had to refresh to complete changes I’ve made. This forced me to look more carefully after the source of the problem. I then started deactivating plugins. So it happens that when deactivating wp-statistics the problems went away. I could backup and do other work on the web without any delays. Since I really like your stats plugin I hope that you could take time to give me any hints for proper debugging.
Having a new site I’m at “last” almost everything, but this might help?
