I spoke to my hosting provider and they are saying i’m having a lot of PHP requests causing the site to go into a 503 error constantly. If I attempt to load my website on 2 tabs or more I will see that error come up. They also believe that my site is under attack. So I signed up for cloudflare free plan and that doesn’t seem to have helped the situation.

This happened just a few weeks ago and I don’t recall installing any new plugins or anything. Any idea what I can check? Its causing the hosting server to go unresponsive for 5 minutes at a time.

    Hello!

A 503 error is an HTTP status code that indicates that the web server is currently unable to handle the request because it is temporarily overloaded or undergoing maintenance.

To resolve a 503 error, you might want to reach out again to the website administrator or hosting provider, to address the underlying issue.

You might also want to do a theme and plugin conflict test. You can check this documentation to see how to do it: https://pressable.com/knowledgebase/how-to-test-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts/

If your hosting provider mentioned that there are threats to your site, you might want to be sure of the threats so if you choose to use Cloudflare you can confirm if the free plan covers the help you need to keep your site safe and secure.

    Hope it helps!
