    Hi,

I installed the Wordfence plugin yesterday, so it is still in the learning phase with all the standard settings (no rate limits & allow uptime robot).

I get a lot of messages from uptime robot about website up & down due to 503 errors. When I test it, I only get it when I try the http site, not the https site. It looks like the redirect is broken sometimes…

Live traffic does not show any blocked traffic. It does shows ‘… Was redirected when visiting https://www.wolvenbos.be/’

Any idea on how to solve this?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

  • Hi @tommeke9!
Wordfence doesn’t handle the redirect for your SSL so I’m not quite sure how we’d be involved there. Generally if it’s not showing up in Live Traffic, it means it wasn’t us. It is possible that your server itself is doing the 503 as it means “service unavailable”. Have you tried deactivating Wordfence to see if the problem persists or not? That seems like the best first thing to check.

    Hi @wfasa,

It was a really weird issue:
The problem started on the moment I installed the plugin (free version). Because I wanted to have it solved sooner, I bought the premium plugin. From the moment I put the new API code in Wordfence, it was solved.
I opened a support ticket (#82826) on the premium support.

Not sure what is different in the http redirects between the free and paid version?

    Hi @tommeke9,

I’m afraid we can’t discuss the premium version of Wordfence in the forums so please continue your support request in our support system.

    Thank you!
