We are running into an intermittent issue getting a 503 error that is fixed simply by clearing the W3 Total Cache plugin cache.

Unfortunately, we don’t know when it will occur and it prevents our shopping cart from functioning until the cache is cleared.

Do you have any idea why this would occur and how to prevent the 503 error from occurring? We are using the latest version of the plugin 0.9.7.

I am sorry to hear about this issue however, 503 error usually indicates that the server is running our of resources (memory/cpu) . I would suggest going through your wordpress installation and disable any unused plugins/themes also, you may want to double check the settings on your w3tc and ensure that you are using page cache / browser cache. Also, I would suggest on setting the minify on manual mode and make sure that the theme is properly cached.
