Every time I click on a particular product category (this doesn’t happen with all categories) I get this 503 error: The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I looked at the woocommerce logs and pasted what I saw below. I also put in the system status report.

I downloaded the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin and it didnt help.
I deactivated all plugins except Woocommerce and no luck there either.
I changed my theme to “Storefront” and still got the same 503 error.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out!

This sounds like an issue on the server level. Performing a plugin/theme conflict test was a good call in such a case.

Another thing I would suggest is to increase the PHP Time Limit. While checking your website’s System Status Report, I have found that the PHP Time Limit is set to 30. Can you ask your hosting provider to increase that to 300 and see if that makes a difference?

If you are comfortable with coding, you can also increase the PHP Time Limit by following this guideline.

Unfortunately, I did increase from 30 to 300 and still have the error.

Hi there,

Thanks for trying that.

503 status code is an HTTP response error that indicates your web server operates properly, but it can’t handle that request at that specific moment.

Can you get in touch with GoDaddy hosting support team and let them check what may be happening? They should be able to check server logs and deactivate any cache or firewall configuration.
