    Hello,

    Thanks for the wonderful plugin.

We just updated the plugin to latest version on our site and it resulted in 502 error. Below are the logs related to this plugin and not sure if that’s causing the error.

PHP Notice: Undefined variable: appip_running_excerpt in /nas/content/staging/familyliving/wp-content/plugins/amazon-product-in-a-post-plugin/inc/amazon-product-in-a-post-functions.php on line 78

But deactivating the plugin or reverting back to 3.6 version fixes the issue.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Chetan

  • Hi Chetan,
The PHP Notice should not cause the 502 Error, as far as I am aware. You can try to enable the “Quick Fix/Hide Warnings” option in the plugin settings to see if it fixes anything. I would also turn on “Cache Ahead” as that helps with the load time of the products (but should not cause any errors).

You may also want to try clearing any site cache after you install the plugin to be sure there is nothing hanging around.

Let me know if any of that fixes it. If not, we can try to trouble shoot it. This is the first issue with the upgrade I have seen so far, so it may be isolated to something on the site itself (another plugin or something with the theme). But we can try to work out the issue if it does not get solved by the settings.

    Warm regards,
    Don

    Hi,

    I am having a 503 error.

When you scroll down the site, it repeats twice and at the bottom of the site, there is this message displayed: https://www.screencast.com/t/dMuxafiEjk and site loads extremely slow.

I have tried all your suggested options from the previous message and none of them helped.

Only when I disable the plugin, everything is back to normal – the site doesn’t repeat itself twice, no error at the bottom and it loads in one second.

    Will appreciate any suggestions.

    Hi Don,

Thanks it was a caching issue for me and plugin had some conflict with Autoptimize plugin settings.

After unchecking couple options under CSS on how to minimize and cache the CSS files the site came back.

Thanks for giving an update! Glad everything is working for you.

    Warmest regards,
    Don
