502 (Bad Gateway) error after updating to latest woocommerce version

  • Hi,

    I had updated my website to woo-commerce latest version(3.0.1), after which I used to repeatedly get “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 502 (Bad Gateway)” error. Hence I downloaded woo-commerce old version 2.6.14 by which the website is running successfully without any errors, but I had an add-on Woocommerce Subscriptions plugin (Version 2.1.4) which doesn’t seem to support woocommerce.
    Here is the error – “WooCommerce Subscriptions is inactive. The WooCommerce plugin must be active for WooCommerce Subscriptions to work. Please install & activate WooCommerce ?”

    Could you please tell what is the exact issue??
    Why the website shows 502 error after updating woo-commerce latest version??
    Also woo-commerce subscription needs to be compatible with the woo-commerce plugin.

    Have you updated to latest version of Subscriptions as well? As for the 502 errors, that can be caused by just about anything – might be worth reaching out to your hosting provider to have a look at the PHP error logs ??

    yes Subscription is of the latest version.
    Could you also please let me know why Woocommerce Subscriptions plugin (Version 2.1.4) doesn’t support woocommerce 2.6.14 ??
    Is it not compatible??

    They are afaik. If it’s a subscriptions issue please use the support area so they can look at this for you https://woocommerce.com/my-account/tickets/

    I got same problem! After upd WooCommerce my shop starts to have problems with “add to cart” action – it shows 502 bad gateaway. if i do backup to 2.64 all works perfectly..

    Tell me please how to solve this problem!?

    update woocommerce to Version 3.0.3. They must have removed the bug.
    Site is working fine for me after updating to latest woocommerce

    you should update both woocommerce and subscriptions at once to avoid 502.
    just had the issue as well.
