502 Bad Gateway Error

  • I’ve been getting a 502 bad gateway message–not always but most of the time. It says my browser is fine, Cloudflare in Chicago is fine, and the problem is with the host. Do I need to contact the host?

  • Yes, this is a server side issue most likely related to the shared server configuration at your host. It sounds like they are using an Apache to Nginx or Varnish reserve proxy to serve pages faster and it’s either overloaded or mis-configured.
