• I only found 1 article on this topic from a few years back and it wasn’t resolved. Here’s the issue:
When I try to add a document to my mDocs library, it fails 99% of the time with a 502 error. After that, it seems my attempts to reload the page or navigate anywhere in the site comes up with a 502 error. I have to close out of the browser and start fresh just to get into the site.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
    1. Cleared browser cache
    2. Tried both Chrome and Firefox
    3. Cleared my PC’s DNS cache
    4. Updated PHP to the latest version
    5. Deactivated all plug-ins (it failed when mDocs was the only plug-in active)

I am not using CDN or any other fancy web stuff. I’m pretty vanilla.

I’m using a GoDaddy Managed WordPress host. I will contact them, but I am sure they will ask if I contacted the plug-in support first. So…

Am I alone in this? Does anyone have a fix?

Just tried something which may offer a clue. I successfully uploaded a jpg file. Then I tried an mp3 and some others and they all worked. But when I tried to add a docx file, I got the 502 error. I have many docx (Word docs) in the library from earlier uploads, so why now?

there are many reasons that you could be getting a 502 error. One area to look for more information is taking a look at your web logs see if you see any errors there.

Here is a good site that talks about 504 errors in general and things that you can do to fix the problem:
