• I have 2 sites hosted with Siteground, both in different data centers (UK and US) and both have just started to give me an error whilst trying to export. The error is 502 Bad Gateway. It happens with any table that is slightly large. For instance the options table is 5Mb, doesn’t seem excessive to me. It first did it on a table that was logging emails, so I cleared the logs and it was happy, but there are certain tables that won’t be shrinkable.

Siteground isn’t being much help, they are trying to get me to shrink the tables, but I can’t do that on tables that are content related.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Steve

I have also tried with 0.7.2 and it has the same problem, so I am guessing it is server related, not plugin related.

Siteground says that the shared hosting uses max_execution_time = 120 and this can’t be increased unless I move to a dedicated server which is more money. I find this strange as it has worked perfectly for a long time, but they say this value hasn’t changed in over a year. I have hit a dead end and don’t know what to try next, apart from a different plugin.
