#500 / Your AWS Access Key Id is not registered as an Amazon Associate.

  • Hi Guys,

    I have the following problem.
    When I try to link something from US or CA amazon, I geht the Message: “Your AWS Access Key Id is not registered as an Amazon Associate. Please verify that you are registered as an Amazon Associate in respective locale and you added the email address registered for the Product Advertising API as a secondary email address in your Amazon Associates account.”
    FR, DE and all the others are working.

    When I test the itemsearch with Scratchpad i get:
    “Error! AWS.InvalidAssociate
    HTTP Status 400: Bad Request
    Your AKIAIHLRWNGW7TEUP5ZQ is not registered as an Amazon Associate. Please register as an associate at https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/assoc_credentials/home.”

    When I go to “https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/assoc_credentials/home”
    the buttons under “Manage Your Credentials” are grey and not clickable (dont know the english word for that). Here is a screenshot https://ibb.co/gm72YK

  • You require access to the API to implement (not under your control you need to be a qualified affiliate to get this) – API access is grouped into 1) USA 2) UK and Europe 3) Canada 4) Australia – for AALB to work in each of these territories you need API access for each territory.

    So how can I get the USA API access?

    You need to get the three qualifying sales to get access to the API.

    Sorry but this makes no sense at all.
    If you use Amazon in ONE territory your reply makes sense, you can add links manually but what if we want to register in amazon.us amazon.it amazon.es etc

    How are we supposed to add links for geotargetting products correctly if the plugin doesnt allow us!

    Furthermore, how are we supposed to get 3 sales if we cant add those links for each country.
