    Hi @bingokid,

Can you please look at your PHP error logs and give us more details about what is causing the fatal error?

    Thanks

It seems that the error is back, I activated the plugin this morning and admin part of the website became inaccessible. This is the error log:

    Hi @bingokid,

I’m sorry you ran into that issue – from the error log you sent I can’t see any indication that the error is caused by WPCode, the error seems to originate in the Revolution Slider plugin.
Without more context (access to the revslider plugin) I can’t see what is the source of the error.

Did you have any snippet active in WPCode or just the headers & footers?

    Thread Starter bingokid

    (@bingokid)

I think just header and footer, no snipets, but I’m not 100% sure because I can not check with the plugin being inactive. Is there a way to do that? I see that just the revolution slider mentioned in the log, there must be however some connection to the WPCode, because wp administration breaks as soon as I activate headers and footers and this is also when the error log is created.

From what I can see it sounds like you haven’t had a chance to enable any snippets in the admin so that shouldn’t be the cause of the issue.

Just to rule that out you can try activating the plugin and then using the WPCode safe mode that will prevent any snippets from running – just go to https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/?wpcode-safe-mode=1

If that doesn’t make a difference I would suggest trying to temporarily deactivate Slider Revolution and activate WPCode to see if that way you can make sure no snippets are enabled that could intefere.

I tried, in both cases the admin is still inaccessible. This is what was in the error log when the Slider was disabled:

It seems like something is using up too much memory (could be an endless loop) when you activate WPCode.

I can still see revslider in the first part of the log – was that from earlier?

Do you have a staging site available to try disabling all other plugins to try and find the source of the conflict?
That would be very helpful in trying to prevent this from happening.

    Thread Starter bingokid

    (@bingokid)

I have increased the memory limit to 128M in wpconfig file and now everything works, but I guess this is not a real solution or is that ok? Before there was no memory limit line in the file so I’m not sure what the value was before.

    Thread Starter bingokid

    (@bingokid)

Before doing that I was disabling plugins one by one but nothing changed.

    Plugin Author Mircea Sandu

    (@gripgrip)

I can’t say if that’s a real solution or not without knowing more specifics to your setup but at least that rules out an endless loop or something like that causing the problem.

If disabling all plugins still didn’t help it could be something in the theme using a lot of memory.

You can try switching to a default theme on a staging site to see if that makes a difference.

    Thank you for the updates.
