I’m getting a 500 internal server error that prevents me from loading blog at all: https://www.xcoregon.org/blog

Can’t login to admin or get home page of blog to load. Now new posts in a couple of weeks. Upgraded to 2.7 about a month ago with no problems. Only plugin running is Aksimet. I tried some of the other .htaccess line addition solutions for hosts using php4 mentioned on other threads. My CP allows me to run php5 and I’ve also tried switching to that. Also tried just deleting .htaccess So far nothing has made any difference. I’ve read most of the other 500 server error threads and they are either a different problem or suggested solution didn’t help.

Any suggestions are hugely appreciated. thanks!

Here is text of error. I’ll try to post the error log info later this evening.

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

ok, got some info from my web host and turns out it was folder permission settings. Some of them were set to 777 instead of 755. What is so strange is that for a while it worked despite the permission settings and then one day stopped. Anyway, changing file permission resolved it.
