  • I haven’t had any problems with the latest version of the plugin on the latest WP. You may want to check your Apache or PHP logs they may have some clue about the 500. The FAQ has a small topic on 500 errors as well…

Well, it is a year later than this original post, but I also am getting an internal server error upon extraction. I am at WordPress 4.7.3, Apache 2.4.16, PHP 5.6.30 and MySQL 5.6.33 upon creation of the package. The migration server is at Apache 2.2.31, PHP 5.6.29 and MySQL 5.6.32. Do both servers need to at least be at the same level of the creation server?

In checking the server error log file, it’s referring to Zend Guard Loader, but I don’t know if this applies to the duplicator installer.

I am also getting an internal 500 error during the deployment phase of the process. I have an identical setup to @jlgill and I’m baffled right now

I basically had to do a manual migration. I also think it has something to do with the .htaccess file but I didn’t have the time to investigate. Installer.php did initiate and unzip the files and created tables but it never made it to step two. Sorry I can’t help you more @davidtheprogrammer.

I checked the installer.log file as well, it said Step 1 completed. but the tables look too few. I think I’ll have to do it manually as well. I’m tired
