• Hi everyone,

Yesterday morning I updated some of my theme’s files including the Header, User.css, and Footer.

Later that evening my site encountered a 500 Internal server error, I contacted GoDaddy and they told me it would be an error with my index.php file, but I never touched that file yesterday.

I also haven’t installed any new plugins.

The only additional thing I’ve done was to add some images.

    My site: https://caribbeantl.com

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated it!

    Thanks!

    P.s. also updated a tapestries.php file.

Though even after all these updates the site seemed to have worked fine. I then added a new post to the site, and soon after the site went down.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
