500 Errors – Running out of ideas!

  • Hi, I’m reasonably new to WordPress and have created a few sites for friends. The site in question wasn’t created by me but I offered to try and help out, but I’m slowly running out of ideas!

    The site in question is https://mollyandtheprincess.com/

    It has recently started getting 500 errors, they seem to be quite random and occur in the admin panel and on the site itself. I’ve removed the plugins and couldn’t seem to cure the problem, but my knowledge is limited.

    Do you have any kind of caching turned on? I’ve seen similar errors before and they were tied toward something going a bit wonky in a caching plugin.

    Other than that, I’m not entirely sure what would be causing it. It really is intermittent. On my first attempt to load your site, I got that error. But I didn’t get one on reload or any other clicks. Could you give a list of the plugins you’re using?

    Hi Rebecca,

    I did instal W3 Total Cache plug in as an attempt to cure this problem but it didn’t seem to make any difference so I removed it via the admin panel.

    The only plug ins I have running at the moment are Akismet and Linkwithin.

    Problems with this blog initial started with random pictures not appearing, this still seems to happen randomly too. Not sure if the problems are connected.
