500 error with php 5.6 on network main dashboard page

  • I recently upgraded the servers for my wordpress multisite, and now the main site cannot get to the dashboard. Instead, I get a 500 error.

    The logs show the following error:
    [Tue Aug 16 10:29] PHP Fatal error: Class ‘SimpleXmlElement’ not found in /(SITEPATH)/wp-content/plugins/yith-woocommerce-featured-video/plugin-fw/lib/yit-plugin-panel-sidebar.php on line 188

    I can get to all other site dashboards on the network, as well as the network dashboard. It is only the main page, or “site 1”, that I cannot get to the dashboard on. Disabling the plugin fixes the issue.

    Hi,
    I think that your server has not activated this php extension “SimpleXML”.
    Try to ask to your server if is possible enable this php module.
