500 Error when trying to access config

Hi, before the update, I had the same issue as this person here:

After the update, I try configuring the plugin and the browser would take a few minutes to load a 500 error page. I have tried doing the following:
– deactivate, delete, reinstall
– made sure there were no left over folders in the host
– set it to 755 permissions, same as my other plugin foldersSo far no luck. Any idea what could be causing this?
