500 error after update

there are a couple of known issues in 2.0.1, one of which (old version of PHP) could be the reason. I already have a new version in the works which should fix this, can you download and test that djkaas007?

if you still get the blank page/ server error: can you have a look in your php error-log for relevant information? I’d rather find & fix this for all users then having you rollback.

That, indeed, is the problem here. There are severe security risks & performance issues with PHP 5.2, so maybe it’s time to move to a more modern hoster? ??

no problem :). i did check out the file you posted with known errors on 2.0.1 but didnt see the 500 error at the first glance .. could be my rapidness/ignorance though ??

fyi: 2.0.2, based on the current dev version, will be released shortly (today or tomorrow) with fixes for this issue (and a warning on AO’s settings screen of PHP 5.2.x and earlier)

do test and if things don’t work any more holler now or be silent forever (well, not really, but I’d prefer to fix things before releasing to the masses).

My hosting provider replied to my question about the old PHP version:
The current PHP 5.2.x is the highest one supported by our hosting platform. We
are looking in to other solutions but at this time we don’t have any specifics
on when they might be available.

Don’t really feel like moving the site though.. LOL, gonna let this sink in.. hehe
