500 Error

  • A recent 500 error when I attempted to log into my site admin was traced to W3 Total Cache. I deleted the plug in through the WP dashboard, but I am now getting an error as follows:

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/ixax3/public_html/unhingedmagazine.com/wp-content/db.php.

    I am concerned about reinstalling W3 Total Cache until I understand the problem better.I also note that db.php shows up as a drop-in, but given that db.php may replace some WP function, I don’t know if I can remove it safely or not.

    Please advise.
