  • Someone disabled SMTP for the box you have a link with an explanation in the error you posted.

    One way to try:

Use the Microsoft 365 admin center to enable or disable SMTP AUTH on specific mailboxes
Open the Microsoft 365 admin center and go to Users > Active users.

Select the user, and in the flyout that appears, click Mail.

In the Email apps section, click Manage email apps.

Verify the Authenticated SMTP setting: unchecked = disabled, checked = enabled.

When you're finished, click Save changes.

Thanks, I’ll get my client to do this and report back.

    Hi @redkite,

You could also use the Office 365 API as an alternative, but what @yehudah suggested should work fine!

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hi @redkite,

We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’ll mark this thread as resolved. If you have any further questions please feel free to open a new thread, and link to this one.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

I have same the issue, however i don’t see “Authenticated SMTP setting” at all, see screenshot?

How can I disable SMTP Auth?

    Hi @onastvar,

Please start a new thread and link back to this one. It becomes confusing if you are replying to a resolved thread about a different issue.

Please also confirm where you took this screenshot from – it looks quite different to the Office 365 admin centre.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

Thanks Tim! I have opened up new thread here.

Thanks @tneville! I contacted GoDaddy email support and they had their Admin enable SMTP on my account, I was told to wait 2 hours before trying again. I appreciate your help!
