5.6 Update // SmartMag // Images only show on hover

    I just updated to 5.6. Now, all images now load for a split-second, then disappear and only re-appear on hover.

    It happens on every page of the site.

    Looks like the bunyad-widgets plugin was the culprit, but now all my widgets are toast. I’ll have to figure out how to re-create them now another way, I guess.

    If you want to keep using that plugin, untill they will update their code, have you tried using Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin in legacy mode?

    It may be related to that plugin being incompatible with the new version of jQuery.

    I just had the exact same problem. Images gone, appearing for a split second and disappearing, only appearing when hovered over in some situations – – – anyway, the JQuery Migrate Helper plugin set in legacy mode solved my issue as well. I suppose I’ll have to modernize the site some day, but this keeps me going for now.

    Yes, this plugin is a temporary solution to give your plugin and/or theme authors time to update. If the plugin helps, please contact the developers of the plugins or themes noted in its admin messages to have issues. If they release an update, then problem is fixed.
