5.5 Upgrade a number of issues

    Hoping you can help?

    I upgraded WP to 5.5 late yesterday and have experienced a number of issues:

    1. Home page photos don’t load (other pages seem to be fine)
    2. The menu button on a smart device doesn’t work as well as (1)
    3. Cant set work type image under items
    4. Tried to restore back up but the ‘restore’ button doesn’t work (using updraft plus)
    5. won’t let me select WP logo when logged in as an admin on my iPhone
    6. The help tools on the health plug in don’t drop so can’t use them to identify the issue

    I am not sure if there are any other issues, these are the ones that have come to light straight away.

    I am using:

    WP 5.5.1
    All 17 plug ins are up to date
    Using Darkroom theme which is also up to date

    I have tried:

    Reinstalling WP 5.5
    Deactivating and activating plug ins
    Using Safari, Firefox and Chrome browsers, all have the same issue

    Can someone help?

  • Hi tonygaspar,

    Seeing as you’ve deactivated and activated the plugins already, could you please switch to the default WordPress Twenty Twenty theme?

    The Darkroom theme is giving a JavaScript error:



    If the Darkroom theme is causing these issues, you’ll need to contact the developer, as this forum does not support commercial products. The commercial developer is responsible for supporting their product.
